Touch of dew!!!

Some songs just make you fall in love with everything around you..you start feeling ‘well life aint bad after all’.. I am at that phase of life where I know… 'Future is not what it used to be…’ and it is a fabulous feeling..when life springs in some amazing surprises… and that all time low just gives way for some content smiles..

Some songs are like those dew drops you see in the morning..those drops that remind you of a fresh beginning… a new life… where you open your eyes to see a new sun rise..your revival.. This Malayalam song’ Pular manju pole’ from the album ‘En Jeevane’ is one such amazingly brilliant track. This particular song had caught my attention long long back.. and Sujatha’s stunning voice makes it as mesmerizing as it can get. Karthik has done 110% justice to the composition that is so very fresh and so full of life..

Even though I always felt that the video could have made a little more better..the very soulful composition never let me judge the song as a whole. ‘Pular manju pole’ is a dew drop.. fresh.. lively... rejuvenating ..and reassuring…It takes you those unknown shores of life where you lose yourself to find love all over again..Like the famous Haley Bennett song..it’s your ‘way back into love..’it tells you that ‘unconditional’ love still exists and it is such a secure feeling..

The very beautiful feeling of loving someone.. feeling loved.. the feeling of longing… like Buddha once said “This life of separateness may be compared to a dream, a phantasm, a bubble, a shadow, a drop of dew, a flash of lightning.."
It is an amazing feeling and this track will make you feel it all over again.. for in the dew of love..life finds its morning and is refreshed..you wake up to be in an unimagined world and its wonderful surprises..

“I must go seek some dew drops here.. And hang a pearl in every drop of tear shed..let there be love”

Rain yet again...!!!!

I am smiling..refreshed.. content.. alive and kicking! Thanks to ‘ Eeram’ and the adorably brilliant songs by the stunningly talented Taman. Again thanks to my ‘Encyclopedia Musica’ for getting me to his music :) you remain my favourite of all times..

I had just known Taman as ‘Krishna’, that cuddly spoilt brat in the Tamil movie ‘Boys’ and thought that he would have given up as an actor and vanished from the scene. When his friends..’Munna, Bobgaly, and Juju made it big in movie industry. :) But here he is making his mark in the whole wide world of music. ‘Eeram’ is fresh, rejuvenating, has a tint of romance.. and will make you fall in love with life yet again..

Shankar as a film maker has always brought into limelight the best of talents and he does it again with ‘Eeram’. It will remind you of the rain. It will fall into your lives as those drops of rain.. making you let go off those sun dried days and memories.. will get you back on track where you forget that ‘wandering mode’ and get back :)Music does wonders always! And yes this album has given me two more favourites.. Ranjith and Suchitra ..they are brilliant! Viveka has done a fab job with his wow lyrics.

The 3 tracks are amazingly composed. ‘ Mazhaye Mazhaye’ …’Saaral En’ and ‘Tharai Erangiya’ make you feel like getting drenched in rain… the first rain…while you are on the move.. when the droplets of rain fall on your face and you are just stretching back and travelling down the memory lane..with a fleeting glance to the much awaited ‘tomorrow’..

http://www.musicindiaonline.com/music/tamil/s/movie_name.11966

One album for the keeps .. One you will never regret buying :) my guarantee!! Lol. The tracks will bring back ‘LIFE’ to your routine and let your mind feel refreshed.. I totally agree with the poet when he said “Into each life some rain must fall..”And when it is raining..just let it rain..

This desert town I live always craves for rain.. I am reminded of those summers spent in the anticipation of the rain..and in the end of the wait when I hear the rain drops fall..my heart beats faster and my breathing slows. I have always felt that the sound of rain drops is the most comforting sound ever…Rain..so beautiful and healing.. soothing and soul stirring.. so let it rain.

“I don't believe in pessimism. If something doesn't come up the way you want, forge ahead. If you think it's going to rain, it will. ..”

Children of Heaven!!!!!

The title inspired from an Iranian movie which I heard is going to be made in Hindi soon by our very own Priyadarshan casting Darsheel Safari, the wonder kid from ‘Taare Zameen Par’. Was just trying to trace those faces down the memory lane. Kids have always amused me..kept my spirits alive..made me smile and made me believe that there is still some amount of goodness remaining in this unforgiving world.

I have always felt that they are God’s messengers from heaven and they try and spread his messages to all. I have been planning to adopt a lot many of them :) and the list seems to grow day by day. Children..they are divine..serene and heavenly. Some of them just get my eyes wet..every time I bump into one of those serene ones stretch their hands for those one rupee coins at traffic signals.. one of those days I decided to do my bit.. if at least one Kid could get something as precious as a safe future.. all it takes for us to compromise on some pizzas and burgers.. some cold coffees and some junk stuff.. it might really help them.

My association with CRY began then… I have never got an opportunity to see that kid who is my link with CRY.. one of those the society addresses with much insensitive terms.. I can never accommodate..The word ‘Mentally retarded’ or ‘Mentally Challenged’. It should be banned I feel..Someday I want to hold her close and tell her that she is not alone.. her dreams are dreams too..

‘Taare Zameen Par’ was one amazingly sensible and brilliant movie which dealt with a much more sensitive issue in an extremely sensible way. ‘Ishaan’ is there among us… there are a million other kids like him. Those ones who really don’t have the privilege of being born in a family that can afford to ladder them reach those stars. The shining stars of their dreams and aspirations… With an amazingly soul stirring rendition by my all time favourite Shanker Mahadevan, the title track stands out from the rest of the tracks in the album. One movie for the collection of sensible movies. Aamir. You are just brilliant and I have immense respect for your talent. This one song for all those divine ones out there.. and for all those yet to be born!!

Those serene sweet little ones who are as pure as those dew drops..those adorable bundles of joy and our hope for a better tomorrow..Let’s not let their dreams perish.. let those buds bloom..let those little tiny feet pitter patter its ways into the world of dreams and promises. Let them have in them..the urge to dream..the will to succeed and unlock the door to the promised world of wonders. Like the American author Kate Douglas said once..” Every child born into the world is a new thought of God, an ever fresh and radiant possibility”… Join the journey..do your bit today.. you can give colours to some one’s sunset sky too..

“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.”

PS: Thanks 'achayaa' for that chit chat.. you gave me a thought :) stay blessed!!

Until..!!!

You sometimes tend to take things totally for granted. Some things seem insignificant to you, but in real they actually turn your life around and make you realize that you should have taken a little more care… can remember a trillion such things that happened till date…Seems like today is that ‘someday’ when life till date start reflecting in front of eyes like a recap..

Never knew a cough that was bothering me for a long time would take the form of an interesting illness that will take my ‘breath’ away…literally…lol..never knew one such thing as ‘caste’ which I had only seen mentioned in my SSLC certificate will be a reason for letting go of the most priceless and precious thing of life..didn’t know that being too open and honest actually pays its price..small things do make a difference.. Sometimes one word that you really ‘care’ needs to be said at the right time. Never take that for granted...They say it’s a wonderful feeling when you lose all that you have this very moment and get them back..but to be brutally honest..it does not happen always..still you wish for it.. :) that’s the way of life

One song that reflects this emotion is ‘Kitni baatein’ from the stunningly brilliant movie ‘Lakshya’. One song that caught my attention the very first time I heard it as a caller tune in my kid bro’s phone … (Thanks Kanna for making me wait for you pick up the call…your proud sis :) lol )Still wondering how I missed it when I watched the movie!! Soothing.. soul stirring and touchy..that’s ‘Kitni baatein’ for you. The lyrics is just mesmerizing!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC8Oft5vfnw

No matter how careful you are .. at times you have this sense that you missed something ..there is this feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should have been paying attention . .. so listen to your mind..and just give voice to your thoughts.. don’t always hold back

I have always felt that “You never leave someone behind, you take a part of them with you and leave a part of yourself behind….” Sometimes you need to learn what changes you need to make to turn your life around and then go for it.. rather than letting the life you dreamt of get washed away in the storm ..right in front of your eyes…!!!Indecision brings its own delays.. so just don’t keep it for another day… what you can do..or dream you can.. seize it this very moment..so that some days and years down the lane you don’t sit and take a sigh of regret for something you didn’t say or do..because not really all the treasures on earth can bring back one lost moment of your life.. so just go for it.. live in such a way that memories will be part of your happiness..

“The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live….I find that the further I go back, the better things were, whether they happened or not..”

Longing…!!!!!

To long for something… its an amazing feeling… you never get tired of doing that..I have loved this too.. have always been fond of the silence of night.. the longing it brings along.. the hopes and dreams of a new sunrise that is covered in its unknown depths…where you set your mind at ease and let it flow…

Sometimes I feel that we are all prisoners in the glass house of dreams.. from where can see sunrises and sunsets and you live in the hope of being able to get into the world outside where you have always wanted to be…I have always wished for hope to be like stars.. the darker the night..the brighter they shine..and that you should live your life to the fullest that in the end..when it’s the sunset of your life…there will be nothing left for the inevitable to steal from you..

We should keep this spark alive.. the longing to live.. to smile..to love..to be loved..One song that has been haunting me…and which is so profound in its lyrics is ‘Shauk he’ from the movie ‘Guru’. It was used as Meenu’s (Vidya Balan’s)theme music in the movie and undoubtedly remains my favourite track from the album. Kudos to Soumya Rao, the exceptionally talented singer for her exceptionally brilliant singing!!! You are just fabulous..stay blessed!Gulzar sahib’s lyrics is divine it has that heavenly touch as ever!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeOTYd2mSaE&feature

We are all here to ‘live’..not just to ‘exist’..Like Ayn Rand once said.. “Do not let the spark in your soul perish..in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach..The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is possible, it is real..its yours….” Instead of thinking about what we are missing let’s think about what we have that others are missing...life becomes much more pleasant that way..you feel blessed

Let's long for that spark..the spark of a dream in our lives..a new hope and a new sunrise..and when todays’ sun has set to sleep in the silence of another night..let me long to keep that spark of my dream alive..and close my eyes listening to the soulful song of my hope.... I long for!!!!

“Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light, I have loved the stars too fondly ..to be fearful of the night…”

Some ‘rainy’ thoughts..!!!!

Rain has always brought along with it some realizations and some memories.. It has been like that all these years. There is nothing fake about rain..it just shows things and people as they are..in their true natural self. This monsoon I got myself lucky enough to be staying at home… God’s and my own country ..lol : ) when I just looked outside my window and heard the rain my mind kept wandering looking for some answers which I know that I might never find…

As a kid I have always loved the rain…always wished that instead of raining cats and dogs..it rained pearls and crystals in everyone's lives..even now it doesn’t seem to have changed a bit. Hail stones is something which amuses me even now.. they just look amazing..from far though…still remember getting drenched in rain one day at Bangalore when I was getting back from a movie.. Hail stones were falling…and trust me it doesn’t feel so good when you are out in it.. some situations are such. You just feel that it might be so good to get there.. but yes when you actually get there…you realize that it was much better before.. things were fine as they were. This change was actually not required. But yes, another learning..another stepping stone for you…the only positive way of looking at it..

The rain, which had fallen quietly at first, is now pelting against the windowpanes, driven by a gentle wind..Sipping this piping hot tea and listening to the wonderful tunes rain is composing outside.. I am reminded of the fantabulous track by Ustad Sultan Khan..’ Kate nahin raat’. That was one ‘wow’ song which is soul stirring and will haunt you down the memory lane..Ustad has always amazed me with his unique voice and the way he creates magic with Sarangi..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a7xrlu4kH8&feature

‘kate nahin raat’ is all about the pain of waiting.. the much clichéd..the much discussed..the much written about waiting..but there is something about the lyrics which is so close to your soul…the tune is simple yet serene..and the entire flow of the song will make you fall in love with it.. Someone said it right.. ““Waiting is a trap. There will always be reasons to wait. The truth is, there are only two things in life, reasons and results, and reasons simply don't count.”But yes feelings are not rational or logical..I love to wait : ) yet again rain just washes of my mask off ‘practicality’. The air is resonant with melody..love ..and pain....my words got their voice from the rain..

“There are stars who's light only reaches the earth long after they have fallen apart. There are people who's remembrance gives light in this world, long after they are gone..This light shines in our darkest nights on the road we must follow...and this rain keeps our soul alive..”

Conditions Apply!!!!!!

Is there something called ‘Unconditional’ in reality? Quite a loaded question! Some say that groundless hope like unconditional love is the only thing worth having even when you feel the sand under your feet is getting washed away every second... May be I belong to this category.. Some times it feels like the journey through a desert where you get carried away by the non-existent notion of an oasis… the more you get close to it..the more far it seems…but still you walk..thinking..someday sooner or later you will get there… “Hope certainly is not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well..but the certainty that something makes sense..no matter what the outcome might be..” so very true…

These days everything and everyone comes with a tag attached.. most of the times is so.. The one good thing about such situations is that you then try to make the most of what you have with you..coz you know sooner or later..it is going to be your ‘then’..I feel what we all fail to realize is the fact that life in itself is temporary and uncertain..We are all visitors to this place..this time..we are just passing through..If we start viewing everything this way..life can be made a celebration .. something worth living..

It is very easy to say “I quit, I give up.. when am all alone nothing is good enough for anyone else.. it seems this is the best way to be..When am by myself no one else can say Good Bye..” what is more important is to be like Kahlil Gibran once proposed “But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love.. let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.”

‘Rehna Tu’ from the movie ‘Delhi 6’ has this magnificent lyrics that will haunt you day and night. Prasoon Joshi has done a fantabulous job as always and the music by ARR needs no introduction. This one song will remind you of the need to accept situations and people the way they are and about the magic of unconditional love. Like Tagore once said.. “If you want to enjoy the beauty of a flower..don’t pluck its petals..let it be..” ‘Rehna Tu’ is fabulous and will just ease your mind and let it float among the unknown skies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkbrQcjiy10&feature

Let there be no tags attached. Let love not come with a date of expiry.. It is a wonderful feeling..a weird one :) when you know that the end of something beautiful is coming but you still want to hold on.. for few more seconds so that it can hurt a little more..when you sit back and think after years.. when you are in the dawn of your journey called life..So let it rain love.. let this drizzle last in our dreams..as a soothing touch of relief in the wounds once made..

“You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday…or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday..for it was not into my ears you whispered but into my soul…I hold it true whatever befall”
