Off the track!!!!

Have heard a lot of songs which didn’t get the attention they deserved, and were kind of disappointing because of the way they have been shot. It is really unfortunate that the wow music and lyrics is seen as just another song. But yes… it did hit my senses hard. I then learnt the art of listening to the song alone and seeing through the video (with the logic ‘Ignorance is bliss’)

How I wish these ‘off track’ ones were visual wise well done. This post is simply for picking and choosing a few such songs and a dedication for ones who went ‘off the track’ knowingly or unknowingly and ended up in a different destination. “When all's said and done, all roads lead to the same end. So it's not so much which road you take, as how you take it..” so very true!
‘Swasame’ from the Tamil movie ‘Thenali’
This amazing composition from none other than ARR got its soul in SPB’s and Sadhana Sargam’s divine voices. But, can kind of justify the picturization, taking into consideration the fact that, the movie was a Comedy and yes Vijay Pa’s lyrics stands out.

‘Ini naanum naanille’ from the Tamil movie ‘ Hey nee romba azhaga irukken’
Still can’t’ believe I actually watched this nonsensical movie over a dozen times just and just for the music. The album was remarkable in way that it had about five composers. Srinivas Sir and Sujatha are as astounding as always.

‘Malargale’ from the Tamil movie ‘Love Birds’
Another magical track from ARR, this song has always been in the all time favourites chart. Chithra chechi is my nightingale, my God mother and all that. Hariharan sir’s voice compliments the entire feel of the song. Can’t begin to compliment the fantabulous lyrics

These are the ones that just came to mind first. The list goes on, but as long as it is music..we listen…. :) :) :) :)
